Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Grafton, Wisconsin. It is a small suburb about 20 minutes north of Milwaukee.
Did you have any fun nicknames while growing up? Do you have any now? What is the origin (if you feel comfortable sharing)?
Everyone in elementary school called me Jo Jo. It was cute at the time, but please don't bring it back.
What holidays do you celebrate (if any)?
Christmas, New Years, Easter, and the 4th are all the ones that come to mind.
Academics
What is your academic life like?
What year in school are you?
I am currently a Freshmen.
When do you expect to graduate?
I plan on taking up all four years, so I hope to graduate in 2022.
What is your major? How did you choose that?
I am a Computer Science major, mostly because my friends are as well. Luckily, I think it is a good career path for me, and I plan on sticking to it!
Do you know what you'd like to do after you graduate?
I have not thought too much about it, but maybe a Software Developer! Anything that pays well honestly.
Interests
What do you like to do when you're not in class/working for STS?
What do you like to do for fun?
I like doing viturally anything if it is with my friends.
Do you have any hobbies or groups that you participate in?
I play tennis, albeit a lot less frequently compared to High School, and I try to practice piano everyday. I am involved in a few orgs on campus, them being AAIV (Asian American Intervarsity), KASA (Korean American Student Association), and AASU (Asian American Student Union).
Do you have any other jobs or internships?
As of now, STS is the only job I am employed in. I worked retail for three years, but I don't ever plan on returning.
Any exciting plans for summer/winter break?
After school ends, I will be going to Michigan for a retreat with my org (AAIV). Immediately after the retreat, my High School friends and I will be driving to Florida and hanging out there for a week. And to wrap up May, I will be road tripping to Colorado and South Dakota with my Madison friends. For the rest of the summer, I just plan on taking classes and learning Korean.

What are some interesting, unexpected, or surprising facts about yourself?
What is something that might surprise someone who just met you?
I got my first phone at the end of my Senior year in High School. It was a struggle.
Where is somewhere you have always wanted to travel?
I really want to travel to Seoul, Korea, so I plan on studying abroad there in the future.
Have you ever met anyone famous?
Not that I know of! My pop culture knowledge is very poor.
Life at STS
Talk a little bit about your time with STS
What is your favorite topic to teach?
I really enjoy video editing, so I am excited to be teaching Adobe Premiere.
What is something you are interested in learning?
I am interested in learning Photoshop and potentially After Effects. Those programs seem very interesting to me.
What has been the most challenging part of working at STS?
Finding time to work while balancing a heavy school load is a big challenge for me. I am still figuring out my time management!
