Shreyam Taneja, and I go by Shreyam. It is pronounced as Shreyum.

December 8, 2000. Always up for a celebration!

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in New Delhi, India.

Did you have any fun nicknames while growing up? Do you have any now? What is the origin (if you feel comfortable sharing)?

I never had any nicknames, probably because my name is pretty unique.

What holidays do you celebrate (if any)?

Most of the Indian holidays like Diwali and Holi, but I like to celebrate any fun holiday like Halloeen and Christmas.

Academics

What is your academic life like?

What year in school are you?

Sophomore.

When do you expect to graduate?

Spring 2023.

What is your major? How did you choose that?

I'm a Computer Science major. I chose CS because I was into the subject since a young age and I like the challenge involved in programming.

Do you know what you'd like to do after you graduate?

Probably get a job as a Software Developer, very original I know.

Interests

What do you like to do when you're not in class/working for STS?

What do you like to do for fun?

DJing, as you can tell from my profile picture. I'm also a big fan of racing games.

Do you have any hobbies or groups that you participate in?

DJing as I already mentioned. I actually learnt how to DJ through SPDJ, a student org on campus!

Do you have any other jobs or internships?

Not yet, but after everyhting returns back to normal I can start DJing at clubs!

Any exciting plans for summer/winter break?

I'll continue working here at STS, maybe go to some music festivals if they're happening!

Germany, home to the best racing track in the world, the Nordschleife.

Have you ever met anyone famous?

Sachin Tendulkar. He is one of the most famous cricketers in the world, but people from the US probably won't know who he is, or what cricket is.

What is your favorite topic to teach?

Arduino.

What is something you are interested in learning?

Backend web development with React and Django.

What has been the most challenging part of working at STS?

Not sure yet, but my guess would be teaching online.
