Learning Support

Learning Support offers individual tutoring for academic coursework as well as Study Jams and other Study Skills events for groups.

Greater University Tutoring Service (GUTS)

GUTS is similar to the Learning Support service, but is entirely student-run. Get academic tutoring help, language practice, study skill sessions, and more from this extremely useful and popular service!

Center for High Throughput Computing (CHTC)

The Center for High Throughput Computing is a collection of researchers, technologists, and other staff who support research that involves massive datasets or needs an extremely large amount of processing power.

Their Research Computing service is the primary campus service provider for large-scale computing, and is available for use by students, faculty, researchers, and other users who require their infrastructure.

Social Science Computing Cooperative

The Social Science Computing Cooperative is a group that supports statistical analysis in research.

Becoming a member of the cooperative is fee-based, but if you’re part of a class that uses SSCC services, you are able to use their resources free of charge.

They also provide free in-depth training on statistical tools like R and Stata throughout the first month of the semester.

Data Science @ UW

Data Science @ UW is a collaborative effort among a number of different groups on campus including the Data Science Hub, the School of Computer, Data, and Information Sciences, and a number of other organizations.

They are a primary destination on campus for all data-related resources, research support, training workshops, community events, and more.
